Restore Pinta Layout & Settings
You should be able to drag your Tool Palette and Color Palette to any location in the Pinta window and then drag it back to its orginal location when you want too; however, sometimes it's difficult to drag them back to its orginal location. Follow the steps below if you have trouble restoring Pinta back to the default look.
Close your Pinta program and then open the Caja File Manager. Then click on View menu and then click on Show Hidden Files.
Locate and double-click on the .config folder to open it. (Remember, files or folders that have a dot in front of them will be hidden in normal view.)
Next, locate and double-click on the Pinta folder to open it.
You should notice three files in the Pinta folder called layouts.xml, pallete.txt, and settings.xml. To restore your layout back to it's default look you'll have to delete the layouts.xml file.
Close your File Manager after you delete the layouts.xml file and restart Pinta.
When Pinta opens, you should notice that your Tool Palette and Color Palette are back into your orginal location.
If you ever mess up your Pinta settings, you can delete the settings.xml to restore your Pinta settings back to its default settings.
You should now have your Pinta program set back to its default look and settings.
I hope this was helpful to you.
Take care!
