How to remove AppCenter

sudo apt remove appcenter
sudo apt autoclean && sudo apt autoremove
You can also go to the online elementary OS AppCenter to see 119 curated apps and more on elementary AppCenter and 140 apps were released for a previous version of elementary OS. Many of these programs have buttons to install the program. For example, the Calculator application by elementary, Inc. can be installed by the click of a button from the website.
The AppCenter is organized by easy-to-understand categories to help you find the software you are looking for. There is a search feature at the top to help you quickly find software.
Next to the Search Apps feature is the Settings button. You can enable or disable the Automatic App Updates or you can manually check for updates by clicking the Ctrl R buttons.
If you click on a category in the Home screen, ex: Accessories, you'll see a long list of apps or applications for that category. Click the Free button next to an app to install it on your system. If there is no button then the app is probably installed on your system. I already have Annotator installed on my system, so you see no Free button next to it.
Click on an app icon or name to display more information about the app. If the app is already installed, you can Uninstall the app or Open the app. Click the button in the upper left corner to go back a screen.
Have fun looking through the long list of games and enjoy installing and playing them.
You can also find that piece of software that will help you for school or work.
It has great illustrations and descriptions to help you understand the software you install on your system.
If you are installing this as an extra Software Center for your system, then I highly recommend that you disable it from loading each time you boot your system. The AppCenter will use over 500 MB of memory which could hurt the performance of older systems that doesn't have a lot of RAM. As you can see in the image below, the AppCenter (io.elementary.a) is using up 516 MB of RAM.
Open your Startup Applications Preferences dialog box and uncheck AppCenter Daemon under the Startup Programs tab. The next time you start your system the AppCenter won't load in the background.
If you're new to Linux, then I highly recommend that you install AppCenter on your system. It will help you quickly find and install software.
