Red Eye Removal...
The Red Eye Removal command recolors the red portion of the eyes in a photograph.
If you've taken a lot of photographs, then you probably have experienced red eyes on some of the individuals or animals in your pictures. With Pinta, you can remove the red eyes from the subject or subjects in your image. I will use an old Christmas photo that I took of my nephews and niece.

If you have any photos that have red eyes in them, then use the steps below to remove them.
Step 1: Open your photo in Pinta.
Step 2: Click on the Lasso Select tool from the Tool Palette.
Step 3: Press and hold down the Control (Ctrl) key while using the Lasso Select feature to select each eye.
Step 4: Click on the Effects menu, highlight Photo, and click on Red Eye Removal...
Step 5: When the Red Eye Removal dialog box appears, make some adjustments to the Tolerance and Saturation Percentage until you no longer see red in the eyes.
I adjusted the Tolerance to 57 and Saturation Percentage to 65. Then I clicked the OK button.
Step 6: Click the Save button to save your changes or click on the File menu and click on Save As... to give your photo a new name. The second option will let you keep your original image and create a second images with the changes.

That was a very simple task. Now you can scan and fix all your old photos that have red eyes.
