Annotator
Annotator is an image markup tool for Linux users.
Annotator is developed by Trevor Williams. It is like a basic version of the Shutter Drawing Tool. This application can be found in the elementary AppCenter or downloaded as Flatpak. (Your system must be setup to install Flatpak applications. Click on the Quick Setup guide and follow the simple steps on the website to start using Flatpak.)
How to Install Annotator:
1. Go to the online elementary AppCenter and click on the Download as Flatpak button.

2. Locate the com.github.phase1geo.annotator.flatpakref file that you downloaded.
3. Double-clicking the file will open with the Software Center since I have it installed on my
system. It is setup to install Flatpak applications. (If you don't have the Software Center
on your system then open your Terminal and enter the following:
sudo apt install gnome-software. You will also need to install Flatpak support for
the Software Center using the following command:
sudo apt install gnome-software-plugin-flatpak.)

4. Click the Install button to start the installation process. You will be prompted to enter your
password. Click the Authenticate button to continue with the installation.

5. You will then notice the Install button change to a Launch button and you'll also see a

6. You can click the Launch button to start the program or you can locate it in your menu.
How to Remove Annotator:
1. Open the Software Center and locate the Annotator program and then click on the
Remove button.

The first time Annotator loads, you'll be greeted with a very basic looking application. You can click the "Open Image From File" or "Paste Image From Clipboard" to load an image in the program.
Once your image loads you can start marking up your image.
Here's a quick look at the tools available in Annotator.
You can use the markup tools to add a variety of components to your image.
When you finish you can click the Export Image button to save your image as a jpeg, png, tiff, bmp, pdf, or svg file format. You can also Copy to Clipboard or Print the modified image.
Once you select your option in the drop-down box you'll be greeted with an Export Image dialog box to allow you to save the image. Give your image a name and then click the Export button.
Below is the result of the exported or saved image.
You can also change the size of your image by clicking the Resize Image button on the tool bar. A Resize Image dialog box will appear to allow you to make changes to the image size.
