Couturier
Couturier is a small utility for merging multiple PDF documents and images into one document.
Open Couturier and then click the + (Plus) button in the lower left to add your pdf files or images to the main window. Click the drop-down arrow next to the Save in directory option and select the location you want to placed the combined files. You have the choice to add a password to the combined document. Click the Combine button when you are ready to combine the files. That's it, you've now combined your pdf or image files.
How-To Install Couturier (For Ubuntu 18.04 or older)
Download the .deb file by clicking on couturier.deb file.
Double-click the downloaded file to open the Package Installer.
(You'll need gdebi installed: sudo apt-get install gdebi-core)
Click on the Install Package button when the Couturier Package Installer dialog box opens.
Download the .deb file by clicking on couturier.deb file.
Double-click the downloaded file to open the Package Installer.
(You'll need gdebi installed: sudo apt-get install gdebi-core)
Click on the Install Package button when the Couturier Package Installer dialog box opens.
Type in your password and the click on the Authenticate button.
Wait until you see the status, "Same version is already installed" before you close the dialog box.
Merging PDF Files
Open Courtier and then click the + (Plus) icon in the lower left.

Select the pdf files you want to combine.
Give your combined pdf file a name and select the location you want to place the combined files. You have the choice to add a password to the combined files. Click the Combine button to merge the pdf files into one pdf file.
When the process completes, your pdf document will open in your default pdf viewer. You can see in my left side pane, I have two pages in my new file.
Merging Image Files
Open Courtier and then click the + (Plus) icon in the lower left. Select the image files you want to combine and then click the Open button. .

Your images will load in the program. At this time, you are ready to give your file a name and select the location you want to place the file. You also have the choice to add a password to the file. Click the Combine button to merge the image files into one pdf file.
When the process completes, your pdf document will open in your default pdf viewer. You can see in my left side pane, I have three images in my new pdf file.
Couturier is simple or basic and that's what I like about it. It doesn't have a lot of features and commands hidden deep inside of menus. You load your file, select a location for your new file, give it a name, and click combine. It's that simple.
