Fondo
Fondo is a wallpaper app for Linux users.
How-To Install Fondo
You install Fondo from Flathub or you can install it via your Terminal.
Open your Terminal and enter: flatpak install flathub com.github.calo001.fondo
Press Y to complete the installation process.
Next enter the following in the Terminal:
sudo flatpak override com.github.calo001.fondo --filesystem=xdg-run/gvfsd
sudo flatpak override com.github.calo001.fondo --filesystem=xdg-run/gvfsd
The command listed above prevents you from getting the error: "Error copy from URI to directory."
You can also install it via the Software Center. Search for Fondo and then click the Install button.
To run the program enter: flatpak run com.github.calo001.fondo
You can also access the program in your menu.
If the program loads is light mode or day mode, you can change it to dark mode or night mode by flipping the switch in the upper right corner. The image below demonstrates light mode.

If you click the first button next to the search bar it will create a drop-down message box explaining how to create a Wallpaper Slideshow.
Clicking the three horizontal dots allow you to view images arranged by Orientation. You can select between Any, Portrait, or Landscape.
You can click on the Categories section at the bottom to display a list of categories are topics.
Click a topic to display a long list of images that relate to that topic.
Click on an image to download it and set it as your desktop wallpaper. I clicked on the image by Adam Kool. Notice the red bar across the bottom of the image that indicated the image downloaded to my system.
As you can see in the image below, the image is now my new desktop wallpaper.
If you right-click on an image you will notice a menu appear with four options: Centered, Scaled, Spanned, and Zoom. You have a choice of the way you want the image displayed on your desktop.
If you click on the double-arrows in the upper right corner of a small image you will load details about the image.
As you can see below, additional information is displayed about the image. You can click the Visit profile button to see more images from the photographer or you can click the Set as wallpaper button to set the image as your current wallpaper.
You can see the new image is my new wallpaper.
If you look through the reviews in the Software Center you will notice the program doesn't work for everyone. If it doesn't work on your Linux system, I recommend you look under the Wallpaper Changers section of the Graphics Software webpage. Variety Wallpaper Changer is an excellent wallpaper changer, if Fondo doesn't work for you.
How-To Uninstall Fondo
Open your Terminal and enter: flatpak uninstall com.github.calo001.fondo
You can also remove the program in the Software Center by clicking the trash can icon.
