P7Zip-Desktop
P7Zip-Desktop provides a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the command line p7zip file archiver for Linux users.

How To Install P7Zip-Desktop
Open your Terminal and enter the following:
sudo snap install p7zip-desktop
To remove the program enter the following:
sudo snap remove p7zip-desktop
Open your Terminal and enter the following:
sudo snap install p7zip-desktop
To remove the program enter the following:
sudo snap remove p7zip-desktop
On my machine, I can access the program through the menus by clicking on Applications, highlight System Tools, and then click on P7Zip Desktop.
A Graphical User Interface (GUI) of p7zip will load.

Creating a ZIP File
Open P7Zip-Desktop and select the files you want to compress.
Open P7Zip-Desktop and select the files you want to compress.
Next, click the Add button in the upper left corner. When the Add to Archive dialog box appears, give your compressed file a name under the Archive section and then select your Archive format. I select the zip extension by clicking the drop-down arrow. If you would like for someone to enter a password before extracting the files the enter a password under the Encryption section. Click the OK button to create your compressed file.
You will see your zipped file in the location that you saved it in. You can see my Samples.zip file in the image below.
Extracting ZIP Files
Open P7Zip-Desktop and select your compressed or zipped file. If P7Zip-Desktop is set as the default archiver you can just double-click the compressed or .zip file and it will open.

Select the files you want to extract and then click on the Extract button on the toolbar. A Copy dialog box will appear allowying you to select the location you want to extract or uncompress your selected files. Click the OK button to start the extraction process.
All the files in the compressed file will be extracted if you do not select the files that you want to extract. If you chose to encrypt your compressed file then you will have to enter a password to extract the files.
