LAN Share
LAN Share allows you to easily send files and folders to any machine on your network.
LAN Share is a cross platform local area network file transfer application, built using Qt GUI framework. It can be used to transfer a whole folder, one or more files, large or small immediately without any additional configuration.
Ubuntu and Debian based systems can download a .deb file to allow them to install it on their computer. An AppImage file can be downloaded and used by any Linux distribution. Windows users can download an .exe file to install the program or the installation file can be downloaded on Softpedia. You can check the following website for the newest version of the program: https://github.com/abdularis/LAN-Share/releases
I download the file LANShare-3ccbe2c-x86_64.AppImage from https://github.com/abdularis/LAN-Share/releases.
I located the file once the download completed. You can move it to a folder to keep your AppImages organized or you can leave it in your Downloads folder.
To make the file executable you need to right-click the file and select Properties.
When the Properties dialog box appears, click on the Permissions tab and click on the empty box to the left of "Allow executing files as program." Then click the Close button.
You can bring up the Main Menu editor to add the AppImage program to your menu.
When the Main Menu editor appears, select a menu option on the left and then click the +New Item button on the right.
A Create Launcher dialog box will appear. Enter the following information, except use the location of your AppImage file.
Type: Application
Name: LAN Share
Command: "/home/tommy/AppImages/LANShare-8bb4b2a-x86_64.AppImage" %U
Comment: LAN Share is a cross platform local area network file transfer application
Click the square icon button and locate an icon.
Click the OK button when you're finished.

LAN Share allows you to send files and folders.
I recommend that you click the Settings icon to customize the program. In the General tab you can change the Name of your system and location of the Download Directory or folder.
The Network tab allows you to change the Broadcast and Transfer ports. If you use a firewall, you'll need to grant access to the Broadcast Port and Transfer Port.
If you use Gufw Firewall then open your Terminal and enter the following:
sudo ufw allow 56780
sudo ufw allow 17116
sudo ufw allow 56780
sudo ufw allow 17116
To send a file (or folder) click the Send button on the left. Then click the Send files... option.
Select a file or files when the Select files dialog box appears and then click the Open button.
Select a device from the Select Receiver dialog box and then click the Send button.
You will see the progress of sending your file (or folder) in the Uploads section in the LAN Share program.
You can see the progress of receiving a file or folder from another device on your home network in the Downloads section.
Here's what it looks like on my Ubuntu MATE 20.04.3 LTS system.
Here's what it looks like on my Linux Lite system in my virtual machine.
LAN Share works wonderfully on my home network.
If you are looking for a program that will allow you to share file of folders across your home network, then give LAN Share a try.
