KShutdown
KShutdown is a nice little utility used to shutdown or suspend your computer at a specified time. It also features various time and delay options, command-line support, and pop-up notifications.
With KShutdown, you can schedule when you want to power off, restart, put to sleep, or lock your screen. You no longer have to wait up hours for those huge downloads to complete. You don't have to be an experienced computer user to use KShutdown. It has a simple Graphical User Interface (GUI) which makes it easy to understand and simple to use. |
KShutdown was designed for KDE users, but it will also work for MATE, GNOME, and XFCE.
KShutdown works for Linux and Windows operating systems. I will be demonstrating the installation on Linux, specifically Ubuntu MATE 18.04.1 LTS.

By default, KShutdown is initially set to Turn Off Computer at Time From Now (HH:MM) which will occur 01h:00m from the current time. You have to click the OK button to start the preprocess.
You have the choice to select a different action, if you prefer. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of Turn Off Computer to see your additional actions. You may also choose to Restart Computer, Hibernate Computer, Suspend Computer, Lock Screen, or Logout.
