In this section, I will go over some of the popular Graphical User Interface (GUI) Archive Managers used in Linux. Archive files are useful for storing data and transferring it between computers as they allow you to collect multiple files into one.

- Archive Manager or GNOME Archive Manager (a.k.a. File Roller) is the archive manager of the GNOME desktop environment.
- Ark is a graphical file compression/decompression utility with support for multiple formats.
- B1 Free Archiver is a freeware compression utility that works on Windows, Linux, Mac, Android and online.
- Engrampa is the official archive manager for the MATE Desktop Environment, it is a graphical front-end to archiving utilities such as tar & zip.
- P7Zip-Desktop provides a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for p7zip for Linux users.
- PeaZip is an Open Source cross platform archive manager for compressing and uncompressing files.
- Xarchiver is used for handling archives on Linux or manipulating xz, 7z, arj, bzip2, gzip, rar, tar, zip, rpm and deb files.
