STIRR
Stirr TV allows you to watch local news, over 120 streaming channels, and a variety of TV shows and movies. Stirr can be installed on Roku, tvOS, Android, Amazon Fire TV, and iPhone devices. You can watch Stirr TV on your computer via your web browser by entering the following URL: https://stirr.com/. You can click on CHANNELS in the upper left corner to watch live streaming TV.
In order to watch Stirr TV you must whitelist or allow it in your adblocker and if you use Privacy Badger you must go to the Stirr website and click on the Privacy Badger icon and then click on the Disable Privacy Badger for this site. You should then be able to watch streaming channels and the other content from the website. Remember, Stirr TV is free because it is ad supported.
You can bookmark the site in your browser or you can add it to your menu so that it looks like an actual application installed. To add it to your menu you'll need to open your Control Center and click on Main Menu under the Look and Feel section.
A Main Menu dialog box should appear on your screen. Select a menu on the left. I created an Entertainment menu to keep my entertainment links and applications organized. After you select the menu click on the + New Item button on the right.
You will see a Create Launcher dialog box appear on your screen. Enter the following information:
- Type: Application
- Name: Stirr
- Command: vivaldi --app=https://stirr.com/watchnow
- Comment: Live news, sports, entertainment, and more
You should now see Stirr under the Items section. You can click the Move Up or Move Down buttons to move the icon up or down in that section. Click the Close button when you are finished.
You should now see Stirr in your folder.
Clicking on the Stirr icon in the menu will open the website, but it will display a minimal amount of your browser making it look more like an installed application on your system.
You have a wide variety of free streaming channels to choose from.
You can click the View Guide button in the lower right to view the EPG (Electronic Program Guide).
The View Guide button will change to a Hide Guide button.
Clicking on the Hide Guide button will change it back to the View Guide button and the EPG will drop out of view.
There's a variety of channels to select from and they are all free.
Stirr TV is a way to provide you with hundreds of streaming channels at no cost.
