How to Cut Multiple Sections of a Video with Avidemux
If you have a video and would like to remove multiple sections then Avidemux could be the tool you're looking for. I used to record a TV show with a Digital TV Tuner and Recorder and I used Avidemux to cut out all the commercials. It's a very simple process. You can download and install Avidemux from the Releases section of their GitHub website or their webpage. I also demonstrate how to install it on a Linux system on the Avidemux section of my website.
1. Open Avidemux.
2. Click on the File menu and then click the Open... command.
3. When the Select Video File... dialog box appears, select your video file and then click
the Open button.
the Open button.
4. Use your mouse pointer and drag the slider near the location you want to remove from your video.
5. Click the Go to the next keyframe [UP] or Go to the previous keyframe [DOWN] to select your first
cut point. Using these buttons will prevent glitches from showing up in your final video. You may not
not have the exact cut points you want; in order to cut precisely you'll need to re-encode the entire
video.
