MS Office Online
You can use ICE SSB to add Microsoft Office Online to your menu. In my examples below I will only add MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel. You can choose to add all of the MS Office Online features to your menu.
Let's begin by adding Microsoft Word Online to your Office menu. Click on the Applications menu, highlight Internet, and click on Ice to start the application. (The links I use for online MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel work in the United States. I can not guarantee those links will work outside the US. Go to https://www.office.com and log in with your account and get the links from that site.)
In a few seconds the Ice application will load. Make sure the Create tab is active in the upper left corner of the dialog box.
Enter the following information:
Name the application: Microsoft Word
Enter web address: https://office.live.com/start/Word.aspx?omkt=en-US&auth=1
Where in the menu? Office
Name the application: Microsoft Word
Enter web address: https://office.live.com/start/Word.aspx?omkt=en-US&auth=1
Where in the menu? Office
If you have an icon that you want to use to represent Microsoft Word then click on the Select an Icon button and locate your icon. Click the Open button after you select your icon.
Then select the browser you want to use. If you use a dark theme, I highly recommend that you select the Vivaldi browser. Then click the Apply button.
Before we close the Ice dialog box, lets add a Microsoft PowerPoint Online icon in your Office menu.
Enter the following information:
Name the application: Microsoft PowerPoint
Enter web address: https://office.live.com/start/PowerPoint.aspx?omkt=en-US&auth=1

Click on the Select an Icon button and locate your icon for Microsoft PowerPoint. Click the Open button after you select your icon.
Then select the browser you want to use and then click the Apply button.
Now, lets add a Microsoft Excel Online icon in your Office menu.
Enter the following information:

Click on the Select an Icon button and locate your icon for Microsoft Excel. Click the Open button after you select your icon.
Then select the browser you want to use and then click the Apply button.
Now click the Close button to close the Ice dialog box. Now lets check to see if the application added icons to the Office folder. Click on the Applications menu, highlight Office, and you'll notice three new icons in the list. You'll see Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word and the icons assigned to them.
Now lets check to see if they work. Lets start with Microsoft Word, so click on it to see if it will load. In a few seconds you'll be presented with a screen that offers a wide variety of MS Word templates. Click on the New blank document icon and wait for it to load. The load time will depend on the speed of your computer and the speed of your Internet.
In a few seconds, you will see a blank MS Word document screen. You explore the settings of MS Word Online or you can close it and check the next icon.
Go back to your Office menu and click on Microsoft PowerPoint. You will also be provided with a wide varitey of slideshow templates when it loads. Click on the New blank presentation icon and wait for it to load. You'll soon soon see something similar to the image below.
For the last time, go back to your Office menu and click on Microsoft Excel. You will also be provided with a wide varitey of worksheet templates when it loads. Click on the New blank workbook icon and wait for it to load. You'll soon soon see something similar to the image below.
You can reduce the size of the toolbar ribbon by clicking on the View menu and check the box next to Simplified Ribbon.
The Simplified Ribbon will provide small monitors more working space.
If you want to remove any of the links you created with Ice, then start the program and click on the Remove tab. Click on an icon and then click the Remove button. The link to the web application will be removed from your menu.
I hope this has helped you.
Take care!
